Holiday’s Can Be Hard

I love the holidays. I have been so blessed to be able to share this love with friends and family. But if you have recently lost someone, the holidays can be really hard. This post goes out to all of you who may have recently lost a loved ones this year, or even several years ago making the holidays hard to get through. This was a poem with author unknown but it was posted on Facebook  by a dear friend and coworker and I thought it needed sharing.  My heart goes out to all of you.

My First Christmas in Heaven

I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below,

With tiny lights, like Heaven’s stars, reflecting on the snow.

The sight is so spectacular, please wipe away that tear,

For I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear,

But the sounds of music can’t compare with the Christmas Choir up here.

I have no words to tell you, the joy their voices bring,

For it is beyond description, to hear the angels sing.

I know how much you miss me. I see the pain inside your heart,

But I am not so far away. We really aren’t apart.

So be happy for me dear ones. You know I hold you dear,

And be glad I’m spending Christmas, with Jesus Christ this year.

I send you each a special gift, from my heavenly home above,

I send you each a memory of my undying love.

After all LOVE is a gift, more precious than pure gold,

It was always most important in the stories Jesus told.

Please love and keep each other, as my father said to do,

For I can’t count the blessings or love he has for each of you.

So have a Merry Christmas and wipe away that tear,

Remember, I am spending Christmas, with Jesus Christ this year.

Morning Thankfulness

As we approach the marvelous day of Thanksgiving, with the love of family, food and gratefulness for where we are at this point of our lives, we need to remember to always give thanks to our heavenly Father.

thanksgiving

Sarah Young of Jesus Calling reminds us today that when our mind is occupied with thanking Him we have no time left for worry or complaining.

I Thessalonians 5:16-18  reminds us “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

My hope for you today comes from  Romans 15:13 – “May the God of Hope fill you with all Joy and Peace as you trust Him, so that you may overflow with Hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

And as His love and peace surrounds you, let the effects of it ripple out from you in kindness waves to others and have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Amazing Song by Mercy Me

RuralPastor50 posted this BYU rendition of this song by Mercy Me and it is fabulous. The song itself gives you a true question of what will I do when I first lay eyes on Jesus.

Even if you are not a believer, the song itself is amazing. But if you do believe in Jesus, then this song beings clarity to THAT day, when you come face to face. We all will.

May you be bless to the heart with this song and as always, remember to be kind.
