A play on words with Cee’s fun challenge of Pets, Living and Stuffed in black and white, since both of my dogs are black and white.
First off, it is very black & white clear that the mailman is something to be dreaded…
Mimi on left and Daisy Mae on right…well the mailman does bring bills…’nuff said. And in keeping with the Christmas season we have the cat that sings Jingle Bells in meow tones and the dog that lets you know Santa is coming to town.
And since we are closing in on my favorite time of year, I wish you all a blessed and wonderful Merry Christmas. Remember to share your love and joy with others this season by being kind. It is not always a merry season for some.
And if you are an animal lover and want to know how Dogs view heaven, catch the creative book Our Home of Love. It may be a fun Christmas present.
In betting which is noisier – inside or outside – I think it may bet inside. There is a basset hound(Max) in the basement howling and baying; there is a coon hound(Mimi) upstairs barking and baying in “attack attack” syndrome, the new puppy(Daisy) is whining and pacing because she knows something bad is going on because of all the noise and then there is a group on men pounding on my roof making all kinds of scary noises. It’s new roof time…before the snow next week…on Halloween…2-3 inch possible. Ugh. But my house is getting a new look, a new dress of protection from the outside elements as it were. The Saturday SoCS prompt for today is dress and I think our houses being dressed properly from the elements is just as important as us dressing properly for protection from the elements.
They say they will be done in 8 hours. I hope so as rain is coming b y 3 pm. We will see. In the meantime, noise.
As life brings you noise, remember there is a purpose somewhere behind it and hopefully the good side of it will shine through as God works his miracles. Is a new roof a miracle? It is for me as I knew there were issues but the last storm did enough damage allowing insurance to pay the bulk of a new roof. There is usually a silver lining in every noise of your life. Relax, embrace the good and allow God to do His thing.
And as always, remember to be kind.
Bordering on the humorous to the ridiculous I submit the silliness of my dog’s favorite sleep position. She has 2 speeds…on guard or sleep and sleep is definitely more interesting.
She truly is a mistreated animal. Hmmm. She is currently pacing as she knows something is up. It’s Friday night, and Friday night is eat out night. They are not going anywhere but mom still has on her shoes. Something is definitely up. So she waits and watches.
In about 10 minutes, as we just got the notice that the food delivery is on it way, there will be total chaos and loud barking as a stranger has pulled in front of the house. We run from window to window telling the world “Danger Danger!!”
Then when the food gets inside the reality of “Food – whats for me, can I have some, can I can I can I.” So goes the life of living with a dog. A life I would be miserable without. There is just something special of sharing your home with fur babies. Even with the mishaps that inevitably go with it. The joy they bring far out weight the mishaps.
So I remind you as with all of my post to be kind. But this time I lean it toward out fur babies. Without their devotion to us, we would not have that extra dose of love handed to us with no questions asked.
