Sunshine’s Macro Monday #4, FOTD

This past week was a zoomer but I did get a few pictures of the beauty that I saw. I will tie in with Irene’s Sunshine Macro Monday and Cee’s Flower of the Day.

I can not remember what type of flower this is but it has been pretty all summer. Its leaves are dark green and kind of elongated heart shaped. And the plant shows two different types of blooms – the single like on the left and the full rose type like on the right.

And as with all things created by our loving God above, remember to always be kind.

More Fun with Macro, SMM-3

In refilling the bird feeder at the church this morning, I took several pictures for FOTD but latched onto the one below for Irene’s Sunshine’s Monday Macro. I call it “Flower and Friend”.

I think the flower is a type of Coreopsis but not sure about his friend, maybe some type of stick bug?

Friendship is how we survive this world, so remember to be a friend and be kind….but gentle….

SMM, Week 2 – June Bugs in July

I guess I ought to be grateful that my germanium is the only thing being eaten by these wretched creatures but dude, go away, this is July and even it is almost over.

Guess he is trying to make himself look big with hairy legs raised for battle which I am sure are used for holding on. So I thought it odd that a lily has hairs way down toward the center of its throat. Wonder what they are used for.

And the spots are actually raised. So much amazement in close photography of things you never saw or thought of before.

Fun With Macro, SMM

I can not say that I can do real macro but I still enjoy close up with my phone camera. The goal is for a real camera with beginner lenses for Christmas. Heavens Sunshine does amazing nature photography and is hosting a Monday Macro Prompt which I am playing in with dreams of getting better. I have enjoyed my miniature flowers this year that look like tiny petunias but are way more colorful.

They also have varieties that are doubled petals making them look like a tiny rose.
