Detective Tin

I am so excited to say I now have a new toy…my computer has not been replaced and man is it nice. I can open a new page in seconds instead of minutes. But I can say my old computer was the top of the line…11 years ago. So to christen it with love I will make my first post fun to help dispel the horrid weather we are still having with more snow this evening. I posted this picture a week or so ago to get ideas of a story and Shelley’s of Quaint Revival was the best. She and I are both kinda quirky so it fit my brain well. Enjoy and laugh along. If you have other short ideas about this picture, feel free to add in the comments. The object is to have fun and enjoy each others art, regardless of medium.

“You know,” muffled Officer Tin as his mouth was full, “if you would just hit the sky, we could catch this guy a lot faster.”

“Nope. Your the knot-head that was determined that I come along. You could have left the branch and me on the tree and we would have been fine.”

“I needed you help, you eye in the sky as it were.”

“Just because you wanted me to come does not mean I am going to help you look.”

“But you always help” exclaimed Officer Tin.

“Not today. I have a headache and you are not helping.”

“Well, the faster you help, the faster you can get home…but you will need a new branch, sorry.”

“Oh, good grief!”

“I think he went down in the valley,” shouted Office Tin spitting the branch to the ground.

“I see him,” the eagle muttered to himself. “Looks like Tin has help coming from the opposite direction as well. Oh, and there is lunch.”

“You have reinforcements coming on the other side of the valley.  Head straight and you will corner him off.”

“Thanks. Hey what is in you claws?”

“Lunch. You are own you on, kiddo. I am outta here.”

Hope my quirkiness brought you a smile on such a dreary day. And as I always close with reminders of kindness, remember during these stressful winter times, kindness is like the warming ray of sunshine and we all need some of that. So be kind.

Burning Feet

Go Dog Go Cafe writing prompt for Tuesday’s Challenge is : Describe about a recent world event without saying what the event actually was.

Their feet were hot with the souls of their boots literally melting with each step. The jungle of broken concrete  and iron beams made it difficult to walk as the hopeless search for life continued. The billowing smoke raised ever higher shrouding where the building once stood but now lay in melted heap as the acrid smell of jet fuel still filled the air. The search dogs were horrified as this scene did not match their training. They were supposed to be able to find life but none was to be found and the sadness for man and beast alike would be a long time healing, if at all.

As humans, we show our best likeness to God when we show compassion and kindness to those affected by tragic and desperate times. Remember to be kind.

An Evening Chuckle Before Bed

I saw this photo and chuckled out loud making Mimi wake from snoring as she snuggled under her blanket on the sofa and looking at me like something was alarming.  Our pets can so make us laugh so I am sending the first picture in honor of Shelley’s cats over at Quaint Revival. They always have interesting stories about us hoomans.

Hooman I need you assistance as this prehistoric creature bited me.

The other picture is my crazy dog Mimi trying to entertain herself tonight in negative temps and many inches of snow because she did not want to come in. She was jumping up hitting the leaning over evergreen. When she realized just how cold she was getting she came running in.

She already pulled the icicles off and ate those.

Yes our pets do entertain us from time to time. It is what makes them special to us. And as my closing always speaks of kindness and we are talking of our pets, I though I would share some of my favorite pictures of animals showing kindness. We could learn a lot from them.

And one more chuckle…animalkind9

Curiosity, #JusJoJan

We have all heard the phrase of “Curiosity Killed the Cat”. I don’t have a cat at the moment so when I looked for pictures on line for curiosity pictures of cats there are thousands, even ones that sadly lived up to the phrase above. But I did find the one below that I thought was awesome. I have even used that same look when someone says something to me deserved of that look.

Seriously???

Cats are endearing creatures, especially when kittens. The things they will do in exploring their world.

Then they become demanding rulers of the house and you become the slave. Although Mimi, my coon hound, pretty much has rule of the house and dogs too can have that same look of curiosity when studying something they are trying to figure out.

Really???

And then we spent millions of dollars on a robot and sent it to Mars to find the life we just knew was there and we named it “Curiosity” – Who da’ thunk.

As we chuckle over the funniest of animals and man’s great curiosity of “what’s out there” lets us come closer to home and remember to always be kind. Even animals understand kindness and use it when they know it’s needed.

Be the spark of someones sunshine for today.

Linda G Hill’s along with Pam’s prompt of Curiosity brings us our fun for another snow coming day. Stay safe and warm my friends.

Something About A Smile

There is something infectious about a smile. Even though you may not know the person, you will smile in return. A baby smiles back at you just by seeing you smile or the mischievousness of children can make you smile.

Smiles are a way we show love, happiness, joy and kindness to name a few ways. Smiles are a way we show our inner light. But we are not the only beings that smile. Animals smile when they see someone they love, it being human or one of their own kind. Since blogging I have become fond of many photographers works but I found some pictures of Debbie Smyth that just made me giggle and I thought I would make a post on SMILING animals. Thank you Debbie and other photographers for making us smile.

This white dog even smiles with his eyes. Too very precious and one of my favorite pics.

Remember than a smile is also a show of kindness. If you can be anything…Be kind.

Ponderings of Max, #1LinerWed, #Jusjojan

Max

It’s me, I am Max, with thoughts that I ponder

Over here, over there and way out yonder.

As I rush out that door and swing by the chair

There is my friend Rabbit and we play statue and stare.

Rabbit

Our game is forgotten with a loud sounding crash

As the monsters next door send the squirrels in a dash

Last round through the yard, ever checking, ever more,

But there is nothing to see so I head for the door

Then I head for the kitchen for a small tiny treat.

Now, it’s on to the couch where I sleep ‘til we eat.

As we follow LindaGHill for our creative Jot, mine does not follow the Wednesday 1 liner plot.
