Love Encouraged

“Greater love has no one then this….John 15:13

creator

HE CAME

The creator of this universe, I ask is he really there?

Is He someone you can trust on, or someone to beware?

If trusting is the way to go, do we go all in? Do we dare?

Or do we back off and hide, to not get caught in His snare.

Trusting what you can’t see, seems more a grand dare,

Than trusting what you can see with a chance to be fair.

But the inner hope of all of us in waiting to clear the air,

Would be His eternal promise as one to profoundly care.

Surrounded in His light to the point of brilliant glare,

Lives a love so rich for us, that we could only stare.

Those who know this love, without it, would be the dare,

No other love as perfect as the creator who came to care.

Too Bee or Not to Bee, World Bee Day

World Bee day, what an awesome way to recognize the value and necessity of a creature. The entire world depends on bees for pollination and if we don’t have take care of them then we wont take care of us, as in we won’t have food to eat. Some crops are dependent on bee pollination. If you want to read more about it, read this interesting article. I posted about bees yesterday not know today, May 20, was honor day for bees. So I will post some of my past photos as well.

How To Protect Bees: A Gardener Guide To Protecting Bees

So as you enjoy nature as it buzzes around you, remember to be happy yourself and let the happiness roll over into kindness for other people and all things living.

Flower of the Day, Superbells

I love Cee’s Flower of the Day challenge. So many of you post such lovely flowers for all of us to enjoy. Hoping it will warm up for good so that they can start growing again.

This particular flower has become a favorite of mine with its many colors and it hardy ability to stand tall when winter comes back through or we have a horrid hot summer. Their correct name is calibrachoa and this color is perfect for this southern girl – Watermelon Punch.

They are probably in the petunia family or petunias are in the calibrachoa family. The leafs and bloom look very similar, they are just miniature in sized to a petunia.

As you enjoy the beauty of the flowers, remember the beauty of kindness and let that kindness radiate from you like the beauty of a flower.

Birdbath Not Just For Birds, SMM

Irene of Heaven’s Sunshine has a wonderful Monday challenge that even us amateur photographers can play with, macro photography. And while I only have my phone camera, it does a pretty decent job.

Today’s subject is the bees that love my birdbath. I have yet to see birds use it but bees are there all the time. This is George…as apposed to his brother George…or his other brother George.

Nature is an interesting thing, and if you don’t pay attention you will miss the best parts. But as you are looking, remember the value of looking kindly. Kindness is a much needed and missing element that can easily be added to any situation making it a situation of much value…just because you added a little kindness.

Flower of the Day, …or Week ??

This past Sunday, my precious daughter gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers for Mother’s Day. They were and are still so lovely.

Mother’s Day Flowers

The vase was so full, I actually split them into two vases so they could breathe better. So now there are flowers in the dining area and the living room. Now that it is 6 days later, they are beginning to fade a bit but the sweet-peas are just now opening and they are beautiful, with a rich rose and a white that is tipped with pink.

“SoCS”, Want

What an interesting topic from Linda G Hill with SoCS with us all in shutdown mode. I want people to be safe, I want people to have common sense but since I can’t take pictures of that so we will go with a more visual/tangible want.

I want my yard fenced in. The first guy backed out so I resorted to a guy who had done work for me in the past…a bad idea, out of his realm of expertise.

First off I wanted the post 4′ on center…close but no gold ring. Plus they did not fill in the dirt once the concrete was dry, I had to do that. I didn’t need to be moving all that dirt but I got it done. Grateful they didn’t crush my baby rose or azalea bushes.

Then I called to have the lumber, the lattice and hardware delivered because I did not want to have to haul them in my car(SUV). Instead of the 21 boards I ordered, that were on the packing slip, they delivered 12. Guess who had to go get the rest, after much noise, I promise.

IMG_20200516_110746

Needed everything here by Friday since Saturday was the day they were coming to put up the lattice…Its 11:28 and they have still not arrived. Going to rain this afternoon.

I really want this project complete for lots of reason, the biggest being my safety in not being tripped by a dog on a wire tie out.

IMG_20200516_110756

But we will see if anyone shows. I can do it myself but it won’t be easy. I am not 30 anymore where I did this kind of stuff all the time. For now we just look at a half finished project and WANT for the best.

Come join in with the prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday of “want.” Make the word “want” the first, second, or third word of your post. Have fun!

And as always, remember to be kind…even when its hard…

Fears, Lies, Trust, Love & Peace

As we traverse these difficult times I am reminded of a passage in  Jeremiah, chapter 38, in the how trickery of people’s gossiping and how it can influence those who are weak in God’s teaching and begin to believe those lies. I see this same thing going on today with so much “he said/she said”, this one is lying, that one is lying. Who do we believe and who do we trust. So it is imperative we stay close to God, for He is who we can always trust.

Jesus Calling devotion books reminds us this morning that God is not careless. He allows difficult times to come to equip us for other things in the future. I love the saying that “Sometimes God calms the storm and sometimes he allows the storms to rage but calms our hearts.”  This world is definitely in a storm but we must breathe in and relax in God and trust in His strength and counsel to keep us above water. So this morning let’s trust in His unfailing love.
unfailing love

He is a mighty God and nothing is too difficult for Him. So do not fear from our seemed weakness. Lean on God’s possibilities.
posssible
Our weakness is designed to show his strength, so don’t let your presumed limitations measure the wall that is before you. Stay connected to God and He will show you how to climb that wall.
power
As we stay connected with God, we are encouraged by His love we for we know He is always walking with us.
walk with you
So just remember to talk with Him and then listen while he guides you through every challenging situation.
guide
As you feel the comfort of His love and peace, remember to share the peace and kindness with others. Now more than ever kindness is needed to spread across this world to bring us all a bit of peace.
